One of the priorities of the FAD leadership is building new international partnerships, expanding the range of foreign universities with which our faculty could collaborate on international scientific research projects or participate in pedagogical activities. That is why the FAD dean visited the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico from 21/11/2022 to 25/11/2022.
This private university was founded in 1943 and is currently among the top 200 universities in the QS World University Ranking. For comparison, STU Bratislava ranks around 800 in this ranking. Branislav Puškár met with the dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Art and Design in Monterrey, Rodolfo Manuel Barragán Delgado, and presented our faculty, its fields of study, and our research areas to the management of the faculty there and its students. etc. Our dean was also involved, at least briefly, in the pedagogical process – the teaching of studio art. Very interesting was the tour of the modern TEC Monterrey Campus, which has an excellent standard in both space and equipment.
Excursions to Mexican architecture of the 20th century were part of the work trip. The established working contacts and relationships will enable the development of mutual mobility between the FAD STU in Bratislava and the School of Architecture, Art and Design ITESM in Monterrey, the creation of new partnerships in grants and joint publishing.
