Spoilt for choice! During your Bachelor, Master or PhD studies, you can customize your studies by choosing relevant studios, assignments and courses, in addition to your core subjects. Adapt your studies to what you enjoy the most!

All about exchanges! Experience the advantages of mobility studies, and spend a semester at one of our 50 partner universities in the world. The FAD has the greatest number of partner exchange universities, of the entire Slovak Technical University – and our numbers keep growing!

Events: In the first place, the FAD strives to create a sense of community and belonging. We aim to provide a platform and countless opportunities for a rich social, research exchange and sport life. Broaden your horizons and be exposed to knowledge from beyond your standard courses! In our FAD Club, attend lectures with well-known guests, experience provocative film screenings, performances, and vernissages – but more importantly, here we exhibit the students’ work to the public!

Culture: The school and the university dormitories are located very close to the historical city center: you can cover most of the distances by walking, or by making use of the excellent public transport. This area is also filled with galleries, museums, and performance spaces, and not to mention amazing coffee spots. It’s no wonder Bratislava’s nickname is the Little Big City, come and experience why!

Prime Location: Bratislava is perfectly situated for quick city trips, and affordable experiences. Because of our central location: Vienna, Budapest and Prague, are easily accessible, and offer promising cultural, social, and travel experiences. The quick and easy access from Bratislava to Vienna Schwechat Airport, means there is always cheap connections to major European destinations on offer.

EIT Manufacturing Association: FAD STU participates in the implementation of innovative technologies within prestigious projects. We have a fully equipped University Science Park – a technology-based place supporting the creation of prototypes. Here experienced doctoral students can help with 3D printing, laser cutting and with your work in the colour laboratory. Some of the projects create outputs in augmented (AR) and virtual reality (VR).)

Cooperation with companies: There is ample opportunity to apply your talent, knowledge and skills in our studios. Some of these studios even have cooperative programmes with some well-known car manufacturers in Slovakia and abroad, interactions with various architectural studios, important NGOs, and offers other opportunities within the creative industry.

Banská Štiavnica: FAD STU also has a satellite school and workplace in the UNESCO city of Banská Štiavnica. Here our students attend workshops, draw in the open-air, and collaborate on designs for the restoration of historic buildings in this picturesque town.
